We are very delighted that our ambassador Hans-Peter Durst has been awarded the sports medal by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia due to his outstanding athletic achievements and we express our congratulations to him!!!
The event took place in the exhibition halls in Münster, NRW. The picture shows the ceremonial award of the sports medal to Mr. Durst by the NRW State Secretary for Sports and Volunteerism, Andrea Milz (center) and Mrs. Wietholt, Chairman of the Savemybrain Foundation (in the picture on the right).
His laudation says among other things:
Hans-Peter Durst is an extremely successful German paracyclist. To date he is a 2-time Olympic Champion, 8-time World Champion, 3-time UCI Overall World Cup Winner and 22-time German Champion and his sports career is not over yet...
Mr. Durst continues to be active as an athlete, but is also voluntarily engaged in many other ways. For one thing, he is the coordinator of cycling for people with disabilities in the Westphalia cycling district and in the North Rhine-Westphalia cycling association. As an ambassador, he supports the "Tour of Hope" for children with cancer and the Children's Eye Cancer Foundation, to give just one example.
In addition, we consider ourselves fortunate that Mr. Durst is also acting an ambassador for the savemybrain foundation and works with us to promote the idea of the foundation.
