The wearing rate of bicycle helmets strongly depends on the age. Children very often wear a helmet because their parents usually still have a say in the matter. Adults are also increasingly seen wearing head protection. One target group that is difficult to reach, however, is young people, who often do not wear helmets out of vanity or because it is "not cool enough.
Together with the Deutsche Verkehrswacht and the Bund Deutscher Radfahrer e.V., we have launched a Germany-wide poster campaign that is deliberately aimed at younger people and is intended to promote the bicycle helmet. The posters will be placed at a number of locations throughout Germany.
The campaign is sponsored by the Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr.
